European Casino Association Appoints New Secretary-General

The European Casino Association (ECA) has just informed the public about the appointment of Hermann Pamminger at the position of secretary-general.

Pamminger has been working in the casino industry for more than 25 years and spent a major part of his career at Casinos Austria. He was serving Casinos Austria International and contributed to different senior positions, including the role of head of marketing. In 2013, he became a member of Casinos Austria AG, the company behind Casinos Austria International. At the moment, he is active as a corporate social responsibility officer and assistant of board member Dietmar Hoscher.

Pamminger has also been included in ECA operation ever since its establishment in the 1990s. He has also been in the position of press coordinator since its registration in 2006.

Regarding the appointment of New Secretary General, ECA chairman Per Jaldung mentioned:

“We are confident that Hermann’s many years of experience in the international gambling industry will be an asset for the ECA, especially in these difficult times.” 

“Hermann is well known in the industry, has been PR coordinator and a senior advisor to the ECA for many years and knows the legal and regulatory opportunities as well as challenges of our business inside out.”

Additional Update:

The European Casino Association has unveiled another change of its inner structure. Veronika Tisold will temporarily leave the position at European Affairs Consulting Group (EACON), due to maternity leave. Additionally, Tisold will resign from his role as ECA executive director.

Jaldung added:

“On behalf of all ECA members, I would like to thank Veronika for her efforts in maintaining a strong, active and independent ECA and wish her and her family all the best for the future.”

Both changes come right after the European Casino Association unveiled several alterations to its board and proclaimed Czech Casino Association as a new member. 

The February update saw Bettina Glatz-Kremsner coming from Casinos Austria and Jari Heino from Veikkaus becoming part of the board to act in the name of Austria and Finland. Additionally, Pascal Camia (coming from Société des Bains de Mer – Monte Carlo) was appointed as vice-chairman of the ECA.

It is also worth mentioning that Dietmar Holscher left the position of vice-chairman this past January while Tracy Damestani resigned from her role of vice-chair.
