Greentube Acquires Majority Shareholding in Alteatec

Greentube, the Digital Gaming and Entertainment division of Novomatic, has announced that it has acquired a controlling stake in Alteatec, an iGaming management system and platform provider.

The deal will allow Greentube to make significant improvements to its own business-to-business offering by using the leading iGaming management system provided by Alteatec, along with Olympus One, the platform supplied by this company.

Moreover, Greetube will also be able to improve its content offering as well because Alteatec has live dealer streaming and voiceover technology in its portfolio. This means that Greentube will most likely be able to provide 360-degree solutions, both for online casinos and land-based venues.

Alteatec was established in Austria back in 2021 and since then the company has built a strong reputation as a global supplier of technology solutions for the iGaming industry. Its main product is Olympus One, an iGaming management system, but the company also prides itself on the development of other solutions such as the Alteatec Safe Server.

Olympus One is an iGaming platform that offers Bonus Engines, Duel Tournaments and several other gamification tools. The platform also introduced a new approach that connects the online world with land-based casinos through its Land-Based Connection and Partner modules.

As part of the acquisition agreement Alteatec will have two new Managing Directors: Thomas Graf, the Chief Executive Officer of Greentube, and Georg Gubo, the Chief Operating Officer of Greentube. However, Christian Sael, the current Managing Director of Alteatec, will keep his position after the acquisition.

This deal is the latest in a series of high-profile mergers and acquisitions spearheaded by Greentube as the company is trying to expand its presence in the global iGaming market.

Speaking about the deal Thomas Graf, Chief Executive Officer at Greentube, described Alteatec as “a market leader in iGaming technology” and declared himself delighted to be able to utilize their “talented and experienced team” to transform Greentube in the future.

Christian Sael, the Managing Director at Alteatec, added that he felt honored to be part of such an illustrious company and that his team was ready to put its skills to work in order to help Greentube grow.
