Playtech, the well-known global supplier of slot games and live casino content for online casinos, has reached an agreement with MIRACL, a provider of passwordless, single-step multi-factor authentication solutions.

The agreement will allow Playtech to integrate the modern solution developed by MIRACL into its own system, allowing the supplier to give its casino operator partners a secure login tool.

MIRACL announced this partnership to the public and in its statement the company noted that reaching an agreement with such an important player in the iGaming industry demonstrates the quality of its authentication solution.

The company also noted that it is fully compliant with MFA iGaming regulations regarding player login security and that it has received recognition from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), among others.

What MIRACL offers is a way to replace traditional usernames and passwords with two-factor authentication processes that should be a lot more secure but also easier to use. The solution provided by MIRACL is already in use with multiple iGaming providers from all over the world.

The two-factor authentication is paired with the latest Zero Knowledge Proof patented technology, which means that no personal data from players is ever stored or transmitted, thus protecting players from attacks from hackers that try to steal such data. Customers’ accounts are also protected from unauthorized access, making the whole online gaming experience safer and more enjoyable.

Improved Revenues for Operators

Rob Griffin, the Chief Executive Officer of MIRACL, explained that iGaming operators can benefit from improved revenues after applying the company’s authentication solution because they should be able to get more traffic. Moreover, the solution eliminates unnecessary costs, mainly in customer support.

The MIRACL Chief Executive Officer added that his company is “excited” to have reached an agreement with Playtech, which he described as a “renowned provider” that has “extensive market reach.”

Rob Griffin added that passwords represent “a security nightmare” and insisted that such a login method is not adapted for the iGaming environment, which is “fast-paced, impulse-driven and multi-account.”

Playtech has recently announced its financial results for the first half of 2023 and the numbers show record earnings for the company. The supplier’s revenue for this period amounted to 859.6 million euros, a figure which represents an increase of 8 percent compared to the similar period of 2022.
