Microgaming, the famous supplier of slot games and live dealer games for online casinos, is preparing to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its corporate social responsibility program which supports education.
PlayItForward Education Bursary has provided support to children from the Isle of Man by making sure that their financial status would not hinder their academic endeavors.
The program started out in 2014, when Microgaming signed a partnership agreement with the Department of Education, Sport, and Culture from the Isle of Man. Since then, many students have been given the opportunity to further their education without having to worry about financial aspects.
Moreover, the PlayItForward Education Bursary program was not limited to just covering academic expenses. The selected beneficiaries also received funds for accommodation and living expenses. The program eventually allowed 36 students to get through university and 24 of them have already successfully graduated and embarked on careers in various fields, including healthcare, commerce and even gaming.
The program developed by Microgaming has been further enhancing its community-driven objective and provided summer jobs for eleven beneficiaries. This allowed them to get hands-on work experience and a taste of the dynamic and ever-expanding iGaming sector.
Dedicated teams were set up within Microgaming to take care of these students, nurture and mentor them. Moreover, the mentoring side does not stop at graduation as the company continues to be committed to providing job opportunities to the respective students.
