Great Canadian Entertainment, one of the biggest gaming and entertainment companies in the country, has unveiled a brand new poker room at its recently launched casino resort in Toronto.
The new property, called Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, has required an investment of over 1 billion dollars and is expected to become a landmark in Ontario and an important venue in Canada overall.
The new poker room at the casino is now ready to operate, while the 400-room hotel is receiving finishing touches before opening its doors to guests on August 1. The company announced that reservations for the hotel are already open on the resort’s website.
The first phase of the Toronto resort opened on June 20, when the venue’s new gaming floor was unveiled. It has 4,800 slot machines and 145 table games along with various dining options and a car parking facility with 3,800 spaces.
Opening the poker room is the next big milestone for Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, while in the coming months the company announced that it will also launch additional dining and retail options along with an entertainment venue with 5,000 places.
The new poker room offers 30 tables on a completely private floor, which will also feature electronic table games and slots for those who wait for a spot at the game table. The venue will also host large poker tournaments on a regular basis.
