Playtech and Evolution, two of the world’s biggest suppliers of games and live casino content for online casinos, have announced that they agreed to join a trade association for the betting and online casino industry.
The respective trade association is called Spillebranchen and it reunites both suppliers and operators from the online casino industry in Denmark. The members of this association are trying to promote the best practices in the industry in order to minimize gambling harm.
Spillebranchen also aims to create a gaming market that is both responsible and sustainable, with its members cooperating between them and with authorities as well. Among the other members in the association we can mention important online casino and sports betting operators such as Entain, Betfair, LeoVegas and Mr Green.
A statement released by Spillebranchen described the addition of Playtech and Evolution to the association as a significant step because it can “strengthen the voice” of the association in its efforts “to promote a fair, transparent and responsible gaming environment.” The statement added that the two companies have “invaluable” expertise and insight and that will help the members to “work together to shape the future of online gambling in Denmark and abroad.”
