Playtech’s Full Suite Enters Ontario In Partnership With NorthStar

Playtech, one of the world’s biggest providers of slots and live dealer games for online casinos, has announced that its full suite of titles and services are now available in Ontario thanks to the partnership with NorthStar Bets.

The two parties had announced their strategic partnership for Canada at the beginning of this year, with Playtech agreeing to provide NorthStar its iGaming and sports betting platform, including casino, live casino, poker and bingo technology.

At the end of April, NorthStar Gaming announced that it had received a license to operate in Ontario as the market in Canada’s most populous province became open to private casino and sports betting operators.

NorthStar Gaming launched in March 2021 as a made-in-Ontario online betting brand, based in Toronto. Then the operator decided to team up with local media giant TorStar Corporation to create a more powerful entity.

On the other hand, Playtech is one of the most well-known brands in the global gaming industry. Founded in 1999, the company now offers a full range of live dealer games, including blackjack, roulette and baccarat. The company has over 6,400 employees in offices located in 24 different countries around the globe.

Speaking about the Ontario launch, Shimon Akad, Chief Operating Officer at Playtech, revealed that the moment represents “a key milestone” for the company’s development and for its strategy to expand on the North American market.

Shimon Akad added that the company’s success has been built with the help of key strategic partners around the world, and underlined that NorthStar Gaming is expected to become one of the “premier operators” in Ontario.

Michael Moskowitz, the Chief Executive Officer of NorthStar Gaming, added that the partnership with Playtech would allow the operator to deliver “an engaging and enjoyable online experience” to its customers.

“Consumers are looking for content that caters to their individual preferences and interests, and alongside Playtech’s unrivaled multichannel technology we are uniquely positioned to become a leader in the Canadian igaming market,” Michael Moskowitz added.
