Genting Group, the giant global leisure and hospitality company, has decided to have its GentingCasino.com online casino join SkillOnNet, a leading platform provider that powers some of the largest online casinos in the world.

Under the terms of this agreement, GentingCasino.com will be marketed on the popular SkillOnNet network by Prime Gaming, an operator that is working with top brands like Slingo.com, MegaCasino.com and ICE36.com. This move was made by Genting in order to expand its online presence in Europe.

The Genting Group was founded in 1965 in Malaysia and since then it has expanded all over the world. Now it operates resorts in Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, South Korea, the United Kingdom, the Bahamas, and the United States.

Genting now is one of the biggest casino operators in the United Kingdom with 32 casinos, including well-known venues such as Crockfords, Colony Club, Palm Beach and 45 Kensington in London.

The deal with SkillOnNet will allow Genting’s online players to enjoy a massive game portfolio which features more than 3,500 slots, along with table games, video bingo and live casino titles from the most important providers in the industry. However, the deal will see sports betting being dropped from GentingCasino.com, which will now focus entirely on its online casino efforts.

Meanwhile, In Malaysia…

Genting’s online expansion in Europe is quite the opposite of what the company is experiencing back home, in Malaysia. Due to the ongoing novel coronavirus restrictions, the reopening of Resorts World Genting was further delayed to November 2021.

Genting Skyworld, another of the company’s resorts in Malaysia, is expected to open in December to coincide with the school holidays. Genting’s resorts in the country have been closed since the end of May 2021.

Genting Malaysia has reported a loss of 178.5 million dollars in the third quarter of 2020, around MYR726.2 million. The revenue for the three months to 30 September 2020 amounted to MYR1.42 billion, a sharp decrease compared to the same period of the previous year. In the third quarter of 2019 the company recorded revenues of MYR2.63 billion.
