Pragmatic Play, one of the world’s top providers of live dealer games and slot games for online casinos, has announced that its production capabilities for live casino content have been boosted by the opening of a brand new studio in Europe.
The new live casino studio is located in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, and it offers the trademark Pragmatic Play immersive gameplay experience. The studio features 4K video cameras and top notch audio technology and the new production facility will have over 2,000 employees by the end of 2023.
Pragmatic Play is well-known in the world of iGaming for its award-winning slot games, with over 250 different titles, but the company has also successfully entered the live casino vertical along with bingo, virtual sports and sportsbook.
The live casino supplier already had state-of-the-art studios in Bucharest, along with corporate hubs located in Serbia, Gibraltar and Malta. Pragmatic Play was formed in 2015 as a developer of video slots. The company entered the live casino industry in 2018, when they acquired Extreme Live Gaming, a live dealer content developer based in the United Kingdom.
The company has developed into a global brand and now it releases up to five new slot titles every month, along with live casino tiles and bingo products. Last year Pragmatic Play unveiled Mega Sic Bo, BlackJack Azure and Roulette Azure, along with Mega Wheel, the company’s first ever live casino game show.
Speaking about the new studio launch, Irina Cornides, Chief Operating Officer at Pragmatic Play, described it as “an important step” for the company as it looks to expand the capacity of its live casino operations. The executive also took a moment to appreciate the “fantastic talent” available in Bulgaria.
