Authentic Gaming Approved by Michigan Gaming Control Board

Authentic Gaming is poised to make its inaugural appearance in North America following the approval from the Michigan Gaming Control Board to broadcast live casino table games, featuring real dealers, from a studio based in Farmington Hills. This brings the total number of authorized live dealer providers in Michigan to three, alongside Playtech and Evolution.

The blend of live and online games is set to kick off on October 5, 2023. Initially, Authentic Gaming will deliver live dealer experiences through partnerships with the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, utilizing Golden Nugget Casino as their platform provider under the Golden Nugget brand, as well as with the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, in collaboration with platform provider Rush Street Interactive under the BetRivers brand.

Henry Williams, Executive Director of the MGCB, remarked that live dealer online casino table games provide an immersive and engaging gambling experience that combines the convenience of online gaming with the authenticity of the environment in a land-based casino. Players can enjoy the excitement of playing their favorite casino games with real dealers in real-time, all from the comfort of their home or wherever they may be.

In contrast to conventional online casino games that rely on computer-generated imagery and algorithms, live dealer games feature actual human dealers who interact with players via live video feeds. As these games occur in real-time with authentic cards, dice, or wheels, players can observe the entire process, which is especially reassuring for those who might harbor doubts about the fairness of online casino games.

Authentic will present a diverse array of live dealer gaming options, catering to various preferences, including blackjack, baccarat, and roulette. The approval was granted after it met the regulatory requirements for internet gaming in Michigan including an onsite review by MGCB staff.

Playtech and Evolution received authorization to offer live dealer games in Michigan in December 2021 and July 2021, respectively.
