5Dimes Live Casino Review

Founded in 1996, you’d be forgiven for thinking we were still there when first accessing 5Dimes’ website. However, their live casino streaming is certainly not 90s and actually works fairly well. Although they don’t seem to have any kind of licence, they do have a pretty decent reputation on third party sites and are fairly well known as a sportsbook. Run from Costa Rica, they are a sister site of VietBet who have a much larger range of live casino titles.

5Dimes has a pretty meagre choice of 11 live casino tables, split across blackjack, roulette and baccarat. All tables are offered via Visionary iGaming, which is one of the two available providers in the market. They cover a range of betting limits from $1 to $5000. The live lobby also looks a lot more updated than their main site, but other than that it really isn’t a very impressive selection.  

Localisation/Native Tables

5dimes hosts no native tables that we could see, with all their live casino games in English only. The site was also English only too, as far as we could tell.

Private Tables

5dimes doesn’t tell you who develops or provides their live casino tables – so for all we know they could be private tables. What we do know is that their sister site VietBet seems to host many tables from the same live dealer studio, wherever that may be, so they aren’t completely private to 5dimes.

Mobile

5dimes main site is hardly graphically intensive, so it worked fine on every mobile device we tested it on. Their live casino loaded and played without glitches or crashes. However it did feel a bit clunky on a smaller screen and the layout meant the live dealer was quite hard to see, making the whole operation a bit pointless in our opinion. Definitely could do better!

Depositing/Withdrawing

Apparently, from some locations (namely the US) you can deposit using Visa, American Express or MasterCard at 5dimes. But for us, accessing from Sweden, only Bitcoin transactions were allowed – which are then converted into USD before you can play. More than a bit disappointing to be honest, but what else would you expect from an unlicensed site operating from Costa Rica?
